JOHANNESBURG - After marking his 100 days in office this week, Central Karoo Mayor Gayton McKenzie is trying to solicit investment again – and members of his party are standing by to benefit.
Residents of Beaufort West say they’re cautiously optimistic about the party’s governance style – but 100 days is not enough to judge their delivery. McKenzie held meetings with prospective business people who want to invest in the Central Karoo and hopes he can help them secure a deal.
So now the Karoo will become a fully fledged gangsters paradise. Who would ever have guessed.
