Eastern Cape business manager Johannes Stephanus Coetzee has threatened to pursue a private prosecution against the EFF and MP Naledi Chirwa.

Coetzee, who opened a case of intimidation and crimen injuria against Chirwa after she allegedly called him a racist in October 2020, told News24 he felt disappointed the wheels of justice were turning slowly.

In an affidavit seen by News24, Coetzee opened a case against Chirwa, alleging she and two EFF members allegedly stormed the Cape Agri Garage in Kareedouw on 19 October and asked to talk to him about their concerns with the nightshift arrangement for staff.Get 14 days free to read all our investigative and in-depth journalism.
