Long overdue. Sugar is white death and our health care system suffers from the result of to much sugar. Everyone needs to take note of the amount of sugar they consume and this one way everyone may. Just one 12-ounce can of coke contains 9.75 teaspoons of sugar! Who knew?
Then what about donuts and cakes and chocolate bars and candy as well as fruit juices that use fructose corn syrup …what about brown sugar and white sugar …ban them all !
Do FureyAndrew & TomOsborneMHA intend to tax all soft drinks or only the ones that actually contain sugar? I don't think it fair to tax any product with zero sugar in it, otherwise it will appear to be a tax grab rather than a health issue.

Canada has gone tax insane...You can buy a bag of sugar and eat it but if you buy a drink with a bit too much sugar you have to pay tax on it? And guess what this is another liberal government. Liberals are taxing Canadians to death, why are people supporting them?
