The commercial developer is planning to expand in the Phoenix market with hundreds of millions of dollars worth of industrial projects.

. Inc. recently hired a longtime Phoenix commercial leader to spearhead its expansion in the Valley with plans to open its first Phoenix and Arizona office in the market.

"If you're a company like Panattoni, which is one of the biggest private industrial developers in the country, and Canada, how can they not have an office here?" said John DiVall, who was recently hired on as a partner to lead the company's Phoenix office."Just with the sheer demographic growth, population growth and maturity of our business climate."as the Valley continues to grow and lead the country in industrial construction.

In the past several years, industrial growth has boomed in the Phoenix metro, in part due to the rise of e-commerce but also because of a change in the supply chain due to the Covid-19 pandemic, DiVall said."It has really caused the whole North American supply chain to be rethought by most companies, they realize they can't be without product on their shelves or their stores," DiVall said.

Although a slowdown in industrial growth is expected for the U.S., DiVall and other experts say that's, which has experienced record leasing and construction in recent years.
