A group that represents Canadian businesses is urging provincial governments not to declare Monday, Sept. 19 a statutory paid holiday.
Only federal government employees will be able to have the day off, unless the provinces also declare a statutory holiday. Formed in 1971, the CFIB bills itself as Canada's largest association of small and medium-sized businesses. The non-profit advocacy group currently boasts over 95,000 members.
There is no reason to shut the province/country down. She had a good long reign. Lots of pomp and ceremony going on across the pond. Remembrance Day is not a statutory holiday. We already get Victoria Day off. If we really want another stat, make it meaningful to all Canadians
No respect No morals
All about the $$$
I agree with the business people
And so they should! Very hard on businesses, parents and the system as it was not pre-planned. Plus 3 hdays in 1 month🤷♀️
Great news!
Turdeau acted loke a dictator when he unilaterally called for a holiday. He didnt consult provincial leader's to discuss. Will fake news AVERAGE influence pedlars call him out for it. Probably not
Money over respect?
Of course they do.
😂
wow how inhuman our businesses have became, it's all about money. they don't care who's living, who's dying
Having some business open and others .. Feds closed makes zero sense! Open or close holiday or not, just don’t divide employees
