1st and Main project near downtown seeking $7.5 million in incentives

A major Springfield mixed-use development is asking for $7.5 million in incentives from the city, with the request being considered by the mayor's office on Monday.$2 million cash grant that will be paid when the project is completed.

"Due to the project's large capital investment, and the support from Springfield Preservation and Revitalization council and the overarching community for the development within the Springfield Historic District and the project's large capital investment, a waiver of the applicable sections of the PIP is being requested," the city's Office of Economic Development said in its request.

Springfield MF Partners LLC, a corporation established by Corner Lot leaders Andy Allen, George Leone and Scott Hobby.
