SB19 may have achieved major breakthroughs in the local music scene, but they believe the P-pop industry has a lot to offer.
“We’re actually very proud because they have joined us with this battle na i-prove sa buong mundo na kaya ng mga Pilipino na makipagsabayan sa mga international [music acts] and siyempre, maipalaganap ang culture natin,” SB19’s Josh said in the PPOPCON press conference. “Soon, makakaya din natin na ipakita sa lahat na tama tayo. Kaya natin talaga na matulungan ang economy ng Philippines at feeling ko, mangyayari ito very, very soon,” Josh said.SB19’s Pablo, meanwhile, believes that P-pop is on its way to being recognized in the local and international music scene, as long as there’s “strength in numbers” between the groups and their fans.
