The winner here is the patient and that was really the premise as to why the company was formed. How do you take people from their own good to great? Well, they’re now going to get that chance. And I’m not going to suggest that one medicine is going to cure everything for everybody, what I like though, and I come from a pharmaceutical background, is you set up physicians and front care workers for success when you give them more tools to work with.
Mind Medicine was really at the forefront of driving this change. We knew there’d be an importance of a relationship. And when the regulations and the announcement happened, we reached out to each other. We’d been in contact and certainly, we were aware of the work they’ve been doing and we’re a little bit on standby because there wasn’t a whole lot that we were able to do.
I think what made it work for both parties is the focus on the patient. That made it easy for us to philosophically align in terms of what the goals of the relationship are going to be. It’s about having that common goal of what drives you together.
