Elderly and people on Medicare can get extra help. It's those who have private insurance that need to see some relief in prescription prices. They pay high deductibles for dr visits then pay high copays at the pharmacy. This is where all needs to be a universal price or premiums.
But if you do not make a certain amount in Social Security benefits or disability, you qualify for extra help. Many widows could fall in these categories and could get their medicare premium paid. Most medicare d plans can be expensive but some do not have a deductible to meet.
