The Swiss beverage company is considering closing its only coffee production facility in the U.S.

met with union leaders on Tuesday to discuss the fate of the company’s last remaining coffee production facility in the United States, based in Freehold.

Earlier in the day, members of Teamsters Local 11 held a rally outside the manufacturing plant on Jerseyville Avenue demanding Nestlé keep the facility open instead of outsourcing more than 200 jobs to another country. The showdown comes approximately two months after management first told employees the Freehold facility was in trouble and might close.
