Among FTSE 100 constituents, food retail company Tesco PLC TSCO, +1.92% saw the largest increase Friday, as shares rallied 1.92%.

Intertek Group PLC ITRK, +1.37%, a technical services company, and building materials/products firm CRH PLC CRH, +1.37% rounded out the top five largest increases as their stocks increased 1.37% and 1.37%, respectively. Shares of passenger airlines firm International Consolidated Airlines Group S.A. IAG, -1.56% and life insurance company Prudential PLC PRU, -1.44% dropped 1.56% and 1.44%, respectively.

The pound was down 0.24% against dollar GBPUSD, -0.19% at $1.2571 and 0.03% against the euro GBPEUR, -0.01% at €1.1654.
