The UK arm of the Swiss-based firm is relocating an existing operation from Luton to Shropshire.

Swiss-based Bruderer, a manufacturer of high-speed presses, announced investment in a new factory plus showroom for Hortonwood, Telford.

Construction is due to start this month for a 2024 opening, with the firm relocating an existing operation from Luton over the next nine months.Image caption,"We have been planning this investment for a number of years and I'm delighted that our parent company have recognised the potential in the UK and agreed to build our new factory and showroom," said Adrian Haller, managing director of Bruderer UK.

Chairman of the company, Andreas Fischer, added: "Shropshire is seen across the world as the birthplace of the industrial revolution and, today in 2023, still offers proximity to a lot of existing and new customers."
