Softbank CEO Masayoshi Son told employees during an annual company meeting that AI would be 10,000 times smarter than humans by 2035 and that his and Softbank’s purpose was to help usher it in.

The founder and CEO of Japanese investment conglomerate Softbank, Masayoshi Son, believes artificial intelligence will be one to 10 times smarter than humans by 2030 and 10,000 times smarter by 2035.
