Brink says the City's financial management and service delivery have shown a significant improvement

Executive Mayor of the City of Tshwane Cilliers Brink says they are committed to holding senior managers accountable in order to improve the delivery of basic services.

Brink has emphasised that the City’s financial management and service delivery have shown a significant improvement. Commenting on the motion of no confidence, he says, “This time is on the fact that there are senior officials in the City that are facing disciplinary hearing action. Now as the Mayor, I don’t interfere in disciplinary matters, but I do back the City Manager and his team if they implement proper consequence management because you can’t have the rules made broken without any consequences.”

“In essence, it is a summary of what this motion of confidence is all about, wants to take Tshwane back to the days of looting, of internal mismanagement and of no consequences. Whereas this multi-coalition party government is taking the City forward and building the capital city that can work for its people,” adds Brink.
