Maya officially appointed Chief Justice from September

President Cyril Ramaphosa has appointed Deputy Chief Justice Mandisa Maya as Chief Justice with effect from the first of September.

The appointment follows the President’s consultation with the Judicial Service Commission and the leaders of political parties represented in the National Assembly.
