Malema called for the GNU to be rejected, adding it will not improve the lives of South Africans but will continue to entrench the challenges faced by the country.
Instead, he said the EFF will, going forward, support the uMkhonto weSizwe Party in Parliament to help it become a formidable opposition. “We share our experience with the MK so that it can be an effective opposition in Parliament. Comrades, we are going to fight this GNU,” Malema told those gathered at the AR Abass Sports Ground.
“Ramaphosa is the enemy of our people. The ANC sold out our people. That’s why this GNU must fall. We must fight it everywhere. We must tell them we reject the GNU,” he said.Julius Malema has questioned why the African National Congress does not want to work with progressive parties in parliament as they constitute 70%.
“We won’t be part of the killers of our people. The moonshot pact only got 29% and the Democratic Alliance made a U-turn and went to the ANC. We the EFF, ANC and MK with other progressive forces have 70% in parliament. Why is the ANC not coming to us? Let black people unite,” lamented Malema.
