Stockbroker and wealth advisory business Ord Minnett has dipped into rival Bell Potter’s talent ranks to poach a new head of corporate finance.Street Talk understands Matt Storey, director of corporate finance at Bell Potter, has lobbed his resignation and will join Ord Minnett in October.
Storey will be tasked with leading Ord’s 20-strong corporate finance team, whose recent roles have included advising Auswide Bank on its $639 million merger with MyState. The unit was the joint lead manager on PM Capital Global Opportunities Fund’s $135 million raise in late July and ran a $10 million placement and share purchase plan for Recce Pharmaceuticals last month., who had led Ord’s corporate finance arm for a decade, transitions to an executive chairman role.
