Scottie Scheffler's monstrous 2024 earnings are underlined by where his caddie, Ted Scott, would sit on the PGA Tour's money list, ahead of major winners and Ryder Cup stars

The world number one has enjoyed an incredibly lucrative year, claiming a second Masters title and taking the FedEx Cup, which alone saw him scooper an incredible £19m. In between, the 28-year-old landed a host of PGA Tour titles and top-10 finishes.

Even before Scheffler won the FedEx Cup, Scott had earned just over £2million this year. That would have placed him 58th on the PGA Tour players’ money list, with some illustrious names further down the list, including Spieth and Rickie Fowler. Given the eye-watering figures involved, Scheffler employs people to manage his financial affairs. On his arrangement with Scott, the 28-year-old told the Pardon My Take podcast: “We have a girl that helps us pay bills basically because I’m a child and I can’t keep track of all that stuff!
