The president of a Bergen County construction company and his father have been charged with pocketing nearly $380,000 intended for subcontractors on a Jersey City church project, authorities said.

Christopher Poppe, who is also the director of Franklin Lakes’ Office of Emergency Management, is additionally charged with three counts of forgery.
