A forensic tent and police cordon were set up in Walworth, South London, following a fatal stabbing incident that left one man dead and two others injured. A man in his 60s has been arrested in connection with the attack, according to the Met Police.

A man named Hilkiah McLeggan, 77, was pronounced dead at the sceneA man has been charged with murder after a 77-year-old man was stabbed to death at a London market yesterday while two others were rushed to hospital.

Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service and found three people with serious injuries.His family have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers. Chief Superintendent Seb Adjei-Addoh, lead for policing in Southwark, said: 'This was a horrific incident where a man had lost his life and two other people received serious injuries.

'Lastly we are aware of posts circulating on social media, implying that this was a terrorist incident. Our enquiries indicate this is not the case and we ask the public not to speculate.'
