Some areas saw record high temperatures amid the persistent heatwave, with parts ofWeather forecaster, Phemelo Zonke, says, “Some isolated showers and rain along the coastal regions of the Eastern Cape stretching through to the adjacent interior and over KZN moving through the Free

States and Gauteng – seeing a possibility of thunder showers and isolated thunder shows going into the afternoon. The western parts of the country are remaining clear. The SA weather service is warning of high fire danger conditions from Gauteng to the north-eastern parts of the Northern Cape.”
