Adrienne Bailon credits her upbringing for the peaks of her success. As a producer, a daytime television host, and the founder of the faith-based jewelry brand, XIXI, Bailon has pushed her career to new realms all while holding on to her purpose and why.
For Bailon being able to build a connection with her community, over six years of co-hosting The Real and across her own social platforms, is what has given her the inspiration to bring even more of herself to her projects. Below Bailon shares her advice for other Latina entrepreneurs, what her hopes are for XIXI, and what her biggest business lessons have been. When you walked on set for the first time, what did it feel like knowing you were the first Latina daytime talk show host? It’s powerful to show four women getting along, sharing our stories and journeys, and it has opened me up to new ideas and self-discovery. I have learned that we shouldn't be afraid of sharing our truths or of being wrong.
I have learned the power of authenticity. I believe the right doors will open for you if you remain true to yourself and that authenticity is key in realizing your destiny. Viewers and consumers are attracted to what is real and authentic and I think my candidness and authenticity has been a driving force in my success.XIXI was inspired by my family and my faith. I wanted the company to have meaning and purpose and to celebrate everyday women.
