Access to Amazon lockers at CBA bank branches could help the bank derive greater benefits from operating branches:

Business Insider Intelligence

Access to Amazon lockers at CBA bank branches will likely be a useful perk for consumers and could help the bank derive greater benefits from operating branches. BOPIS services are in the US, for example, because they allow consumers to avoid shipping costs, get items faster in many cases, and see items in person before taking them home.

Some of those reasons, particularly fast and convenient delivery, are likely to make Amazon locker access at CBA branches a popular perk in Australia as well. And for CBA, this means that it can get more customer value out of its existing physical branch network.

Turning branches into Amazon pickup points could help Australia's "Big Four" press their advantage over the country's neobanks.
