REA Group Chief Economist Nerida Conisbee says affordability from a renter’s perspective is "very good at the moment".

“Personally, I’ve never seen the rental market so much in the tenants hands, it’s always typically in the landlords hands,” she said. “Tenants do have negotiating power which is quite unusual. “So, from a renters perspective, affordability is looking good.” Image: AP
