Traders and regular shoppers, especially those who have visited the market in the last 14 days, have been urged to remain calm and self-quarantine at home.

Kampung Tunku assemblyman Lim Yi Wei made the announcement on her Facebook page Friday , and said that officers from the Petaling Jaya City Council and the Health Ministry had visited the market Friday.

She urged all traders and regular shoppers, especially those who have visited the market in the last 14 days to remain calm and self-quarantine at home, until the Health Ministry calls for screening.She said it was best for those involved to keep to the confines of their bedroom unless unavoidable.“Wash your hands frequently and maintain physical distance from your family members. Use separate utensils, ” she said.

Lim said she would update her page with more details as soon as it comes from the health authorities, and advised the Kampung Tunku community to follow the standard operating procedures to win this battle against Covid-19 together.Article type: metered
