Mining companies could be allowed to operate vaccination programs for FIFO workers, after Prime Minister Scott Morrison voiced the possibility.

The West Australian is reporting the idea was raised by Prime Minister Scott Morrison while he was flying to Western Australia for the first time in 537 days.

The PR Counsel’s Kristy McSweeney commented on the idea, saying the government is “aware that it has to do something to get mass workforces vaccinated”. “They’ve put their hope into these two vaccines,” she told Sky News host Peter Gleeson. “I think what the prime minister is floating the idea around here is potentially rapid testing.”
