CAPE TOWN - Government accounting officers have failed to blacklist companies that deliver shoddy work.
The National Treasury briefed the standing committee on public accounts on the blacklisting of companies implicated in malpractice and irregularities. Treasury says it doesn’t have the power to force government departments to report suppliers that should be on these databases.
