CBC NewsRogers announced last year that it was buying Shaw and would invest in ramping up 5G networks in Western Canada as part of the deal.
We pay some.of the highest rates in the world. Let this go thru and open us up to foreign competition.

American business is generally an outline of what to AVOID as opposed to emulate. The price of broadband internet access in Canada is already higher than the rest of the world.

Of course they want the deal to go through. With a monopoly in the digital service arena, they will be able to jack the prices for their services as high as they want. Yeah, it’s business, but it’s immoral to focus on maximizing profit like this merger will do. Just sayin’.
