Williams is set to rely on F2 rookie Logan Sargeant getting an F1 superlicense, as it looks to replace Nicholas Latifi next year. Here's the latest on the 2023 driver market:

Another option is that Williams and Alpine could revive the loan deal that was planned for Oscar Piastri, but with Enstone protege Doohan making the sideways move.

"There's a good choice of drivers,” he told Motorsport.com. “It's a good choice of young drivers, there's still some experienced drivers there as well. And so I think it's quite different philosophies, different strategies. Asked if he thought Sargeant was ready to make the step to F1, he said:"I think he's ready. Yeah, he needs some points. Of course, if he doesn't get the points, nothing helps. But yeah, I'm confident that he's ready, if it gets the points or not.”

If Williams give Sargeant 3 FP1s he would only need 6th in the F2 standings. Feels like a sensible thing to do in the circumstances

Glad Williams are giving Logan the final round in November to see if he gets the required superlicence points before going ahead and signing another driver and basically wasting Sargeant’s hopes and dreams in the Williams academy.
