TAWAU: A former senior manager of a government-linked company (GLC) has been arrested by the  Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) on suspicion of submitting false claims totalling RM26,000 between November 2017 and January 2018.

The claims were related to directing a vendor company to “conduct” three projects despite those works not being carried out.According to sources, the 48-year-old suspect was detained at the Tawau MACC office at 10.30am Tuesday. However, the suspect was released on a RM5,000 bail with a surety.
