BREAKING: A Google manager was arrested — then released — as part of a murder investigation after his wife was found dead in Hawaii. Police say he remains a suspect.

Google product manager Sonam Saxena was arrested and then released as police continue their investigation into the disappearance and death of his wife, Smriti Saxena.

Smriti's body was discovered on a beach on Wednesday, and Sonam was arrested on a count of second-degree murder, then released the following day as police said an investigation was ongoing.Visit Business Insider's homepage for more storiesGoogle product manager Sonam Saxena reportedly called the police in Anaehoomalu Bay, Hawaii, on Tuesday night begging for help — he said his wife, Smriti Saxena, had gone missing.

As of Friday afternoon, police said an autopsy confirmed that the body belonged to Smriti, but that further testing was needed to determine the cause of death. Sonam moved to Seattle from India in 2008, initially working at SkyKick, a cloud-computing company. According to one of his coworkers, Sonam was known in the office for being personable and outgoing.
