Offering SilverCloud Health's line of tools will likely appease Express Scripts' payer clients, who are staring down swelling mental healthcare costs amid the pandemic

reporting major spikes in their platforms' adoption in recent months. And surges in uptake aren't just for patients worried they might have the virus.

We chatted with MDLive CEO Charles Jones recently, who told us that visit volume for the firm's behavioral services is climbing, too. And while industry pros that massive upticks in telehealth use now will continue after coronavirus outbreaks subside, we're less sure that US patients will continue passing up in-person care for mental health.

However, we think the number of people willing to give telehealth a try — and the volume of patients translating interest into actual use — has grown exponentially for the majority of use cases, as the pandemic is forcing patients to seek care virtually.
