Walmart CEO Doug McMillon sent an email to employees on Friday addressing the death of George Floyd and racial violence.
"The global health crisis has tested all of us in recent months, and the racial violence in the U.S. — in particular, the murder of George Floyd — is tragic, painful and unacceptable," McMillon wrote in the email. A $100 million donation over five years through a new center on racial equity. "The center will seek to advance economic opportunity and healthier living, including issues surrounding the social determinants of health, strengthening workforce development and related educational systems, and support criminal justice reform with an emphasis on examining barriers to opportunity faced by those exiting the system," he wrote.

We want all of you to exercise your voice to make every part of our company even better.
42% of Walmart US staff are BAME or “people of colour”. Black staff are 22%. Walmart’s net profit for 2019 was $3.8B. So the $100M pledge is only 2% of profits. That’s what 42% of staff mean to you, mr CEO?
Wow. They opened up their petty cash box to help people. But it's really government money from their extra profits from under paying employees while the Government gives them aid.
