Opinion | Our pandemic response was a mess, we can't afford to make the same mistakes with climate change

The COVID-19 crisis shows that we need to be prepared and act quickly in response to the climate crisis.

In a matter of months, every major city across the globe shut down activities that put people at risk. It has come at a devastating cost, but concern for the science behind this dangerous virus has largely prevailed. These countries recognized the need for spare hospital beds, trained nurses, testing kits, and PPE, to confront the pandemic. Countries with more redundancy in their resources have endured a smaller health shock than others – a note all countries should take before the climate crisis hits hard.

Just remember it wasnt that long ago that glaciers were over Michigan in the ice age. The climate constantly changes. I think the pandemic showed what making rash decisions can lead too. We are making decisions in the right direction (moving away from coal by 2050).

You are aware the hole in the ozone is closing on its own. When God created the earth, He created it with the ability to heal & He does the healing. Good stewardship is important, but making the earth your diety won’t work. Worship the one who created the earth. Not the creation.
