Warren Buffett spent $6.5 billion to help Mars acquire Wrigley during the financial crisis. Here's the story of how he made the candy deal happen.

Unsurprisingly, the sweet-toothed investor and Berkshire Hathaway CEO was a fan of Wrigley and Mars years before he got involved with the maker of Juicy Fruit and Altoids, and the confectioner behind M&Ms and Skittles.told CNBC

Buffett's familiarity with the candy business and both Wrigley and Mars products meant he felt comfortable dealing with them at a difficult time. Privately owned Mars decided to pay $11 billion itself, secure a $5.7 billion debt facility from Goldman Sachs, and enlist Buffett and Berkshire to provide the rest of the financing.

Love what you do. Do what you love.

Mr Buffet loves his food haha

Why would you do the same things all the time during your whole life when you already have made yourself super rich & achieved everything in this business?!? BORING & WASTE OF PRECIOUS TIME. Wouldn't it be better to spend this fortune on smth innovative/needed public infrastr?

And I care because...? Why not do an expose on Trump finances...you know...journalism?

사탕이면 사탕 수수. 수수께기를 잘 내나?
