On Monday, the fast-food giant announced that it hired Reggie Miller as its new vice president, global chief diversity equity and inclusion officer. Miller joins McDonald's leadership team as the company faces a number of racial discrimination suits. James L. Ferraro, the attorney representing plaintiffs in both lawsuits, told reporters last week that McDonald's recent efforts around diversity are nothing more than a public relations campaign.
