“We are far more considerate in the ways we source, manufacture, construct and present our work for the future, so I am certain fashion will look much cleaner and more regenerative.”

The last few months have proven to be nothing but surreal for those starting university life. With changes to the way programmes are run, to how lectures are attended, to how halls are allocated and, now, the manner in which students should leave to return to their families for Christmas, 2020’s freshers have had a unique experience, to say the least.

It’s definitely a little unnerving because we simply didn’t know [what to expect], being the first to experience this new university lifestyle. Having said this, I am really excited to embark on this venture. It’s insane. I can’t quite believe this is where we are. I couldn’t be more motivated to be a part of such a unique experience and introduction into the fashion industry. I am hoping to capture the manic nature of our world and draw out some interesting work.

Contrary to what many may say, my start of term felt like being in the right place at the right time. The time I spent at home due to Covid provided both stillness and exhilaration. Now, I feel like I’m at the beginning of a marathon. I came back to London revitalised and fully charged. My creative flow continues to feel infinite and does not stop in the face of our challenges during this pandemic.I usually keep up a few projects differing greatly in concept and inspiration.
