A Northern Beaches business owner has spoken with Sky News about the difficulty of letting clients down throughout 2020 as a result of coronavirus restrictions and the further uncertainty which the current lockdown brings.

Sophie Wilson owns a beauty salon in Sydney’s Northern Beaches and says the effects of lockdowns and restrictions throughout the year have been “hard”. Stay-at-home lockdown orders will remain in place for the northern zone of the Northern Beaches until January 9, while restrictions are expected to be eased for the southern zone on January 3.

“We had nine weeks where we weren’t able to open earlier in March 2020 and then obviously people were quite timid and didn’t want to come back straight away,” Ms Wilson told Sky News. “When this lockdown happened, this was actually going to be our busiest time of year. “So for us, we just had to let down all our clients and cancel all our bookings, our books were actually fully booked that week so it’s devastating to see.

Expect more lockdowns especially with GladysB slow to act like a chameleon and quick to destruct like lightning!

You are only 'letting down' people that are not prepared to understand their responsibilities when it comes to public health. Your clients should understand public health concerns and requirements.

Toughen up Princess, it’s not all about you, there a heaps of others in your boat, it will be under control ASAP as long as people are compliant, and have patience 👍👍✅✅

Remember 11th December

Boo hoo

So sad that people aren't DYING for his bottom line...

Devastating yup Imagine though being in a industry like the Arts and Entertainment that shut down for over seven months with most workers casual employees so therefore only able to claim jobseeker What's a better word than devastating?

I live on Northern Beaches, do not know anyone who has died of covid or has the virus. Stop the panic and let ppl go on with their businesses and their lives before we all get bankrupt. The pen pushing public servants do get pay every months. We loose money every day.

Lazy Morrison policy will continuously cause lockdowns..he may have passed the buck on responsibility for international borders but that wont fix anything...his 'living with covid' has always been a herding immunity recipe for further disaster and many more lockdowns come winter.

Because the DEADLY VIRUS had nothing to do with it

Not just the Northern Beaches businesses though. The knock on has been devastating.......

Everyone’s had a shitty financial painful year

Shit happens
