A NSW public health order requiring airport staff to be vaccinated initially appeared to apply to all airport workers, many of whom are not vaccinated or on priority lists, sending the industry scrambling

Aviation staff working on international flights will have to be vaccinated under a NSW public health order that sent the industry scrambling ahead of its Monday deadline amid fears it would apply to domestic flights too.

The Transport Workers Union, which represents airport ground staff, was not briefed by NSW Health over the weekend on which workers had to be vaccinated.“[The health order] is a muddle of jargon, which is practically indecipherable in its coverage of workers,” national secretary Michael Kaine said. “We support mandatory vaccination for high-risk workers at the airport, to keep both those workers and the broader community safe,” the spokeswoman said. The TWU called on state and federal authorities to make aviation workers a priority group for the vaccine rollout, joining other industry leaders such as Qantas chief executive Alan Joyce.

There is not enough Pfizer vaccine for them.

Umm...every one of them.

Get a jab or get another job, simple.
