The preliminary injunction, issued by Douglas County District Judge Jeffrey Holmes, comes after a Highlands Ranch resident filed a lawsuit against the school board members,in late January to discuss replacing former Superintendent Corey Wise.
Robert Marshall filed the lawsuit against the directors — Mike Peterson, Christy Williams, Becky Myers and Kaylee Winegar — after the board’sin their efforts to fire Wise. “The evidence indicates that four members of the board collectively committed, outside of public meetings, to the termination of Wise’s employment,” Holmes wrote in the injunction. “The fact that no public comment was permitted at the February 4th meeting is additional evidence of the commitment to their course of action.”
Peterson doesn't care. He is above the law...or so he thinks.
All Colorado school districts are shady. Take CCSDK12 for example. Trace the money that was given to them in bonds and see how they actually used it. There are some law violations there.
What's probably the most insulting is how incompetent they handled all of this to the cost of hundreds of thousands of dollars. The supporters of this new board don't even seem to care about policy change its just mindless desire to 'own the libs.' Fantastic work dogco voters.
How long until they defy this order?
Pretty pathetic that a judge had to tell them that.
