Drive inside the wrought iron entrance to Orchard Cottage and you’re met by an impressive stone-front building and neatly manicured lawns. Quaint yet stately, the same magic continues inside where the current owners have married traditional features with modern furnishings to create the cosy atmosphere you’d expect of such a home.
The front door opens onto the lounge/dining area which have been combined into the one room. The lounge is to the left with its terracotta tiled floor, solid fuel stove and traditional cut-stone open fireplace. Recessed lighting has been fitted directly inside the ceiling. The living room can be found just off the kitchen, with another door leading to the bathroom. Carpet lines the floor here, with the main feature being the room’s exposed and pointed stone walls. A half-door leads to the garden, while stairs connect this room with the upper level. This room could also be converted into a third bedroom with adjoining shower room if required.
The mezzanine with its stained timber floor and beamed ceiling could also be used as an optional third bedroom. Meanwhile, the main family bathroom has both wall and floor tiles with a cosy jacuzzi bathtub fitted in one corner of the room.
