Boeing is set to break ground early next month on a new component operations facility at Cecil Airport that will help support one of the largest operations there.
The new facility will manage the warehousing and distribution of components, as well as deliver more than 175 ready-for-issue avionics parts to customers annually. “The Jacksonville community has a workforce that's prepared that's ready for for this type of work," Emmanuel Tormes, senior manager for government operations at Boeing, previously told the Business Journal."The only thing is that they're in high demand. So we're in competition with other aerospace companies in the region to try to target that same pool of employees.
