Marc Skinner opened up on the struggles in the transfer market and alluded to "Manchester United tax" following similar complaints from Erik ten Hag.Ten Hag also complained about the same. However, Skinner revealed that it was not an easy summer for the club as they found "a lot of pushback" and a potential "Manchester United tax" which skyrocketed the transfer fees due to the stature and financial might of his employers.
"Women's transfers are getting way more complicated than they were a long time ago. Free agency is an easier conversation because you’re just dealing with one aspect," he said.
