The top-of-the-range arena was unveiled by Caledonia Gladiators ahead of their first league game in their new home later this week. Based at PlaySport Scotland leisure complex, more than 112,000 man-hours have been spent transforming the space into a 1,600-seater stadium in the last six months.

Caledonia Gladiators Men’s head coach Gareth Murray added: “All the players are really looking forward to our first league game here this week and playing in front of the Gladiators crowd. Miguel Angel Ortega Marco, Caledonia Gladiators Women’s head coach, said: “Having our own stadium, where we can train whenever we want, is going to be so important.
