KUALA LUMPUR: Security companies will comply with the government’s directive for compulsory Covid-19 testing on all foreign guards, says Datuk Seri Ramli Yusuff.

The Security Industry Association of Malaysia president said it would take a few weeks to do the test on all legal Nepalese security guards.

“We are making arrangements to facilitate our members. But it does not mean the guards cannot be assigned to work.Among the directives are checking and recording of body temperature every day, wearing of personal protective equipment, especially face masks, using sanitisers, adopting of social distancing and sanitisation of company vehicles.

Following the report of nine foreign security guards related to a mall in Cheras, Senior Minister Datuk Ismail Sabri Yaakob said yesterday that it was now necessary for all guards to be tested for Covid-19 as security guards were in direct contact with many people, especially in supermarkets or malls.
