House agrees to extend small business rescue program

Just weeks ago, earlier legislation revamping the terms of the loans nearly stalled in the Senate after critics of the program resisted.

It has delivered more than half a trillion dollars in financial support to employers since it launched in early April, and the short extension now buys time for lawmakers seeking to keep it alive in a new form for the next several months. At a hearing Wednesday morning, Velázquez said that until lawmakers knew where the money was going, “We cannot blindly extend the program.”

Stimulus for those who are unemployed due to the shut downs. Many many people are not working and it’s not by choice. Renew the unemployment benefits immediately!

This is bad because it will help voters keep their jobs and businesses and voters deserve to be on their own with no help.
