Jeff Bezos' ex-wife MacKenzie has donated $1.7 billion of her wealth since their divorce, and taken a new last name

Last year Jeff Bezos and his wife MacKenzie divorced, leaving her with a fortune of about $36 billion and thirteenth-richest person in the world.

Last year, Scott signed the Giving Pledge in a commitment to donate the majority of her fortune after her split from Bezos — the world's richest man — left her with a 4% stake in Amazon. "I began work to complete my pledge with the belief that my life had yielded two assets that could be of particular value to others: the money these systems helped deliver to me, and a conviction that people who have experience with inequities are the ones best equipped to design solutions," she added.

I think Bezos should spend money to find a pay to talent. He is in illegal use of my IP.

I do not see any money. But mine is used by Amazon.

Easy come, easy go

It’s a very generous and inspiring justure not everyone would make or in the position to do so. But if you are in charge of the fund, what difference can 1.7 billion dollars make in racial equity, climate change and public health? What sort of projects require urgent support?

It’s unfortunate that couple who live happily end up on divorce sometimes after getting loads of money. Money doesn’t bring peace always. It’s bring trouble too.

she donating all that money! i was just asking for $1k?

How about lead with her name? A billionaire giving away her fortune should be enough of a signifier. Misogyny never ends.
