The South African women’s cricket team, ranked second in the world behind Australia, produced another unconvincing performance but remains unbeaten at the ICC Women’s World Cup in New Zealand.

The South Africans who were put in to bat only managed to score 223 for the loss of nine wickets in their 50 overs.

Opening batter Laura Wolvaardt top scored with 75 from 91 deliveries, while captain Sune Luus made 62.Shabnim Ismail was the pick of the bowlers and finished with figures of three for 41 in nine overs and five deliveries.
