Trump's 2024 bid triggers finance laws but doesn't legally affect investigations.

Legal implications for the campaignOnce the Federal Elections Commission assesses that Trump is a political candidate -- as determined by an array of factors, including but beyond the official announcement -- his campaign operation will be barred from directly cooperating with super PACs like the Trump-affiliated MAGA Inc.

Federal law states that campaigns and super PACs cannot have a direct relationship, though such bodies often work in tandem, including by the super PAC airing supporting ads."He will be unable to engage in certain joint activities with the super PAC, and he's going to have to campaign with a lot more transparency," said Dan Weiner, the director of elections and government at the Brennan Center.

"A leadership PAC can make comparatively small contributions. So the leadership PAC can write his campaign a $5,000 check, which his super PAC can't, but it's not supposed to do any more than that," Weiner said. His personal business is under criminal and civil investigation over allegations it mischaracterized its value for tax benefits. Former Trump Organization Chief Financial Officer Allen Weisselberg pleaded guilty in August to 15 counts, though Trump claims there was no wrongdoing by his namesake organization.

ABC at it again, unbelievable

I'm tired of him

Wonder how much FTX taxpayer money abc funneled in?

Technically getting indicted won’t prevent him from running heck even getting convicted won’t. His donors might run away from him but legally constitutionally he can still run. Prosecuting him will actually make him stringer because the people will know it’s a political fraud

Why do so many people keep saying he is running to avoid prosecution? That’s foolishness. There is no law saying running makes you immune. The investigations and trials are actively going on. The DOJ case and Georgia getting ready for indictments. New York he gonna lose big too

So proud of President Trump!

The Jan 6 scam fizzles out and now the DOJ takes over the charade

Trump will lose again! Biden is the greatest president of all time!

Can anyone tell us yet what exactly Ukraine spent our $100 billion taxpayer dollars on? At least a hint before Biden hands them the next $30 billion he requested.

He already committed campaign finance crimes in 2016 and 2020, let’s go for the three-peat.

If everyone believes Trump will not win by the uproar.?

I say the n word outloud at my job at Doller Tree but in a way no one knows it's me so I go into the cooler at work and yell the n word once and then come out carrying boxes with a peice of paper in my mouth so they don't think I screamed it. Customers and associates don't know

and yet he goes on with impunity. this is why i don’t like the democrats either. if they can’t get this crook in jail then they don’t have much competency either.
