Over the past 30 years, Redwood City has transformed itself from a quiet, largely inconspicuous Peninsula town into a vibrant Silicon Valley destination spot for entertainment, dining and shopping.

Now the city is weighing such projects as the redevelopment of the Sequoia Station strip mall into a transit-oriented, mixed-use hub downtown and a major tech campus known as the Harbor View development east of Highway 101. The city also eyes life sciences development given the boom in that space in recent years.

The city has steadily flourished since launching revitalization efforts with Sequoia Station in the 1990s and then the cineplex-retail and Courthouse Square developments in the early 2000s. How will the city keep the momentum going?
